For the past three days, I have been working on a project boilerplate using Next.js, Chakra UI, and Outseta. I started this project to give myself a head start when creating new applications. Each tool has its own features, which together create almost infinite possibilities for what to build:
  • Chakra UI: A design system that provides UI and marketing components.
  • Next.js: A full-stack React framework for building web applications.
  • Outseta: An all-in-one platform for managing authentication, billing, support, and emails.
All three tools are relatively easy to use, especially if you take the time to read the documentation. This makes them suitable for small projects or projects that scale to thousands of users.
Looking ahead, here is what I plan to implement next:
  • Protected routes that are only accessible with a paid plan
  • A configurable database connection (e.g Firebase, or Supabase)
  • Lay other project ground work (e.g legal pages)
  • Add other helpful pages such as contact and pricing
If you have ideas and questions, let me know!
